Oliver is ten months old

Oliver is quickly approaching ten months now. He figured out he could stand up to more than just Mommy & Daddy last week and now we can’t keep him from standing, even in his crib. He received his first bruise on his head as a result of falling on the window ledge after pulling himself up for the first time to look out the window. He loves finger foods and now he wants to spoon feed himself too. His baby signing is progressing more and more. It has been very hot here so all the wild life sleeps during the day. Oliver and I still go outside each day to sit on the front porch for a while and we are constantly on the look out for birds and rabbits. Since Oliver has never done the sign for bird, I was totally impressed when after seeing his first bird in weeks he began flapping his arms in a bird like fashion when he saw a huge black bird in Costco’s parking lot.
