Welcome to the Royal Texans Blog

The Royal Texans blog is all about our family and the people we love. It's a little crazy being a Mommy of two lil' guys, but I eventually post everything so check back often for updates on Oliver and Miles!

Can preschool really be over?

How can this day be here already?  I can hardly believe that the last two years of preschool and having two children have gone so quickly.  Oliver has loved preschool this year and especially his two maestras Mary and Claudia.  His Spanish is really coming along.  He bursts out in song in Spanish all the time and randomly we here Spanish phrases that we have no idea what he means.  But most importantly, he seems to understand almost everything his teachers are telling him.    Mommy and Daddy couldn't be more proud of this five and a half year old little guy.  Here are some pictures of his day:

Walking in preparing to graduate...funny thing is that this is actually the 2nd graduation ceremony for each of the kids in his class except for Oliver and two others who only come a fraction of the week.  They graduated the day before, then they handed back their certificates and graduated the next day again.

This is a little graduation video of them tossing their caps. So cute!

At the graduation after party.  Miles got to sit right next to Oliver and join in on all the festivities.  Oliver's teachers are so nice and always include Miles when possible.

That evening we had dinner at Covino's, Oliver's favorite restaurant.

Miles was wishing Gramps was there and he wanted to take these pictures to send to him.

Extreme close-up

Then the grad wanted in on the action

The pictures turned silly.

I mean really silly.

Miles had to get in on the action too!

My cool dude baby

Miles LOVES, LOVES, LOVES, to put his hands in his pockets.  If ever I put pocket-less pants on him, he promptly takes them off as soon as he realizes the error and runs to his drawers for more drawers.  Now getting him to cooperate when I want to take a picture of him participating in said action is a little more tricky... (please forgive the picture quality, these were taken with my phone)

Is this what you want Mommy?

hmmm...let me think about it -- check out the expression on his face

okay, but I'm going to hide it from you...little stinker!

Finally

Isn't he just so cute

And big?

I love it and I am so happy I have some pictures to document it.   He just looks so grown up to me!
 In other news...

We headed to the park after a furrowed attempt to see a new pediatric dentist for Oliver.  Oh well, playing is always a lot more fun!
I accidentally left Miles hat home, so he wore Oliver's and Oliver wore Daddy's.  This is how Oliver looked the majority of the time at the park.  Silly boy.

First time on a tire swing together. They loved it!

DELTA!

I am so fortunate to have great travelers. My boys love flying and anything to do with transportation is great with them. In the video below, we were waiting for our flight home from Utah and we were next to the Delta Terminal. Click play below to hear Miles in action.

Quick trip to Utah

It has been way too long since we went to Utah: six months to be exact.  I'm pretty sure that is the longest I have ever been away.  Our trip was short but sweet and we got to see a lot of our family while we were there.  Loads of pictures to follow.

At Avery's Gymnastics Exhibition.  Emily had a soccer game earlier that day that we all went to and it was fun to watch her play.  She also had her gymnastics exhibition that same day, but Miles needed a nap so we had to miss it.

Hanging out with Gramps before he went to church, then we went to Aunt Rhea's.

All of our family that could come got together at Michele's house for dinner Sunday night.  It was super yummy and fun to hang out with our family.  Her is a serious family photo.

These two cute cousins are only seven weeks apart and they played more together this trip than ever before.  It was so cute watching them be more friendly!

The four youngest cousins.  Look at the cute squishy nose smiles on the babies.  :)
