Welcome to the Royal Texans Blog

The Royal Texans blog is all about our family and the people we love. It's a little crazy being a Mommy of two lil' guys, but I eventually post everything so check back often for updates on Oliver and Miles!

T Ball Saturday

Oliver had his first t-ball class today. Just like the soccer class he took last month, this is a non-competitive class where he learns the foundations for t-ball. The class was during Miles nap time, so Clayton took Oliver and the camera.

I actually thought this was a cool shot with the leaves of this gorgeous Red Oak!

Oliver trying to catch the ball

throwing the ball...with pizazz I might add

Running the bases with hands in pockets will never do!

but he keeps going!

What a cutie pie!

Meanwhile at home I had tummy time with this cute little guy after his nap and he enjoyed looking at this musical toy

Later that day, Clayton and Oliver raked up an even bigger pile of leaves and did some more jumping

Construction worker Oliver was even thrown in the pile of leaves! See the video above.

I know it's blurry, but even Clayton got in on the jumping action!

His bed of leaves

That night Daddy and Miles were having a serious conversation while Miles awaited his bottle. Too cute!

My brother picked out my new PJ's

Check out my new pajamas. My brother picked them out. They have cars, tractors and trucks on them and he wants me to like those things as much as he does so we can play together.

As it turns out, I do like them.

I really like all the colors, and I want to taste them!

Ah, finally I got rid of that pacifier so my foot can go in my mouth

My brother pulled my foot out of my hand

I'm not very happy about it

Hey Oliver, come here

I've got a hug for you

A hug and a hair pull means thanks for picking out these jammies, I love them! :)

Miles slept through the night!

Last night Miles went to sleep very easily with no fussing and only small noises once in a while for ten and a half hours straight. He only woke-up at 5 AM after I placed my hand on him to make sure he was still breathing. I'm sure it's just a fluke, but it's the start of something good! :)

Clayton reminded me that we needed to take a family picture to commemorate the moment

This was Oliver the first time he slept through the night at six and a half months

Oliver Clayton Royal is forty-nine months old!

Whenever I take Oliver's monthly pictures, I always capture a host of emotions. Where did the days go when all I had to do was say his name in an excited voice to get a genuine smile???

Do I really have to do this pouts

If I show my teeth, I'm smiling smiles

I think I'm really cute smiles

Are we through yet smiles

Really, another smile???

How about this Mommy?

Almost there smiles

Baby Signing

Oliver was a pro at signing and new well over one hundred signs by the time he began talking, so of course he jumped on the band wagon when we told him we needed his help teaching Miles to sign.

Here he is finding a sign to teach Miles

Trying to teach Miles the sign for "Eat", Miles is more interested in the camera

I'm sure Miles is going to be a great signer, just like his big brother. How can he not with this kind of help?? :)

One of my favorite days of the year

Fall is my absolute favorite season, and the day we rake up the leaves is one of my favorite days of the year. The leaves have only begun to drop, but the weather was nice and Oliver just couldn't wait.

A morning ritual -- My baby has a blocked tear duct, so he always has yucky stuff in his eyes in the morning until I clean it out

Daddy loves feeding Miles and Miles love his Daddy

Miles LOVES food!

Miles loved watching the leaves sway in the breeze

Miles picked out his own leaf

I like seeing Miles on a bed of leaves as Oliver rakes up the leaves

Cutest big brother!

Oliver just loves Miles and we are definitely starting to see Miles reciprocate the love!

But Miles was NOT digging this position for pictures

JUMP! Check out that air!

He LOVED it!

This picture to me epitomizes what childhood SHOULD be: care free

Had to do some digging in that HUGE pile!

My three boys!
