Quick trip to Utah

Our family took a quick trip to Utah over Labor Day. Everyone loved seeing Oliver and meeting Miles for the first time and we loved seeing everyone! Unfortunately I didn't do as good of job of following Oliver around as I usually do, so I didn't get many photos of him. But I got a bunch of Miles, so prepare for picture overload. I've become really bad at blogging on time lately, so in order to get these pictures up sooner, I'm placing them all in the same post with minimal comments.

My sweet little boys have a cold

Oliver brought home a virus from preschool last week and now Miles has it too. So sad! Oliver was almost a year before he caught his first cold. Fortunately it is just slight and they both just have some congestion, a little cough and sneezing and Oliver has a little runny nose.

Miles is two months old

I can't believe my baby is two months old today. The time is moving so quickly and he is becoming so much fun. He is very interactive and he loves to coo and smile. He says Ah Goo and Ah Gee just like his brother did at this age. The doctor was very pleased with his progress as he gained 44 ounces since his last visit. He now weighs in at 11 lb. 13 oz. and is 22 3/4 inches long. Grow Miles, grow. We just love every bit of this little guy!

I had to add this last picture of Miles with his pink pacifier. And guess what, it wasn't me who purchased it. Believe it or not, it was his Daddy's purchase! :)

Serious Tummy Time

This is seriously some serious tummy time for my little eight-week old. He is doing so great at holding his head up for increasingly longer periods of time. We love this little guy! :)

Wrapped in Grammy's love

My mom made this afghan for Miles while she was undergoing chemo. I don't know how long it took, but I can only imagine. It is beautiful and the perfect color! I loved being able to wrap my baby in it because I knew it was full of Grammy love! :) I hope you know how much I appreciate it Grammy; I LOVE it and I LOVE you! :)

Oliver's first day of preschool

To say that Oliver was excited for preschool would be an understatement. He has been ready for preschool for quite some time. He happily posed for these pictures this morning. And, he was not even sad when I dropped him off. I'll miss my little preschooler! However, I am very happy for him to start this stage of his life.

Happy 33rd birthday to me! :)

I had a great birthday with my guys. Oliver made me this card that I just adore. The picture is of me running to help Miles in his bouncy seat, and Oliver (in blue) is holding up a red stop sign to show me where to stop. LOVE IT! :)

Oliver also made me a cake. I measured all the ingredients, he did the rest. It was yummy and it may be my favorite cake ever! :)

snack time

We don't usually offer snacks to Oliver because we have found he isn't hungry at meal times if we do. This is one occasion where he asked for M&M's and cashews as a snack and I gave it to him. He stood there in the corner of the kitchen and ate the entire thing. He acted as if he thought I might take them away if he moved. That, or they were so good he couldn't concentrate on anything else! :)
